Reporting cases of Covid-19 over the Easter holidays

The school will be working during the first 6 days of the Easter holidays to support Public Health England in identifying confirmed Covid-19 cases within our children and staff, and in advising close contacts to self-isolate as a result.

During this period, the school will be checking a dedicated Covid email address at 9.30am each day and responding if needed. The e-mail address is covid@hilperton.wilts.sch.uk

PLEASE EMAIL THE SCHOOL AT: covid@hilperton.wilts.sch.uk  IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO YOU:

  • If your child has no symptoms but tests positive for Covid-19 within 48 hours of last being in school. (If your child was in on the last day of term, this would be by 3pm on Saturday 3rd April 2021)

  • If your child develops symptoms within 48 hours of last being in school (if your child was in on the last day of term, this would be by 3pm on Saturday 3rd April 2021) AND then tests positive for Covid.

In these two circumstances, please email the school at covid@hilperton.wilts.sch.uk with the information listed on the following poster. The school will work with Public Health England to identify close contacts within the school community and advise them to self-isolate.

The school will check the covid@hilperton.wilts.sch.uk email at 9.30am daily until Wednesday 7th April 2021. After this date, the school will not be involved in contact tracing and will not be checking emails or contacting families to advise self-isolation.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THE SCHOOL:

  • If your child developed symptoms more than 48 hours after last being in school. In this situation, please follow contact tracing instructions given by NHS Test and Trace.

  • If your child has not tested positive for Covid.

Many thanks for your continued support.
