Important information about Child Protection and Safeguarding
Ofsted March 2014: 'Strong links with health and social care professionals, together with staff who know their pupils well, help to give sensitive support for pupils whose home circumstances may make them at risk of not doing well.'

Your child's safety and welfare is of paramount importance to us. Schools are legally required to follow set procedures and the LA requires the Headteacher/Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Child Protection to report any obvious or suspected cases of child abuse, which includes non-accidental injury, severe physical neglect, emotional abuse and/or sexual abuse.
This procedure is intended to protect children at risk. The Child Protection Policy can be downloaded by clicking on the link below and is also available from the School Office on request.

The Senior Safeguarding Lead for Child Protection is Vicki Cann, in her absence, Sam Park.  The nominated Governor with responsibility for Safeguarding is Nicki Jones.  If you are concerned about the well-being or safety of a particular child, please do not hesitate to contact either of them in order to discuss your concerns further. Alternatively, you could also contact either the LA Social Services Dept. at County Hall or the NSPCC.
